WLAN Database query not possible

No database queries are possible in the Selfnet WLAN at the moment. This means that no new devices can dial in at the moment. We are working on the problem

  • We had another issue regarding database reachability which is fixed now. You should be able to connect to Selfnet Wifi again.

  • The database problem is solved Devices that now reconnect to the WLAN (the easiest way is to restart devices once) have a working connection again.

    Software change switches

We will be installing a larger number of our switches with a different software in the next few hours. This will lead to expected outages of about 30 minutes.

  • Done

  • We were able to update almost all of our switches yesterday. There are 5 of about 200 devices left on the Vaihingen campus. We will update them manually today after the announcement.

We hope that the now installed software runs more stable and does not cause any failures as it was the case last week.

  • If individual switches cause problems during the update, we will not inform you separately. During the updates, we are directly involved with several teams in getting the defective devices back online as quickly as possible.

  • We are currently in the middle of the roll-out process. We are trying to inform the affected members by e-mail in advance. More units with the planned software are being installed every few minutes. We hope to complete the process in a few hours.

  • Partial failure Rosensteinstraße

In Rosensteinstraße, an appliance has failed, affecting a smaller part of the residents. We are trying to solve the problem as quickly as possible.

  • We were able to solve the problem last night at around 0 o'clock.

    Device failure in PF1

In Pfaffenhof 1, 2 devices have failed, causing a loss of connectivity for some users. We are trying to solve the problem as soon as possible.

  • Both problems were solved by 19:20

  • Failure of the LAN connection in parts of Heilmannstraße 4

Unfortunately, a device at Heilmannstraße 4 failed tonight. The Selfnet WLAN in the building is not affected by this device. We are working on getting the LAN back online in the entire building as quickly as possible.

  • We were able to solve the problem last night at around 11:30 p.m.

  • The same device unfortunately failed again tonight. We will take care of it as soon as possible.

  • We could solve the problem today around 18:20

  • Major outage in Studentendorf Ludwigsburg

While trying to solve our problems with the devices by software updates, some devices in the Studentendorf Ludwigsburg unfortunately failed. We drove to Ludwigsburg already in the night and started to solve the problems. We were able to put 8 devices back into operation. However, we had to finish our work at 4 o'clock at night. Our honorary members also have jobs and lectures, a longer work on site was unfortunately not possible. We will try to work further on 20.01.2023 on the restoration of the devices. Since we unfortunately don't have any volunteer members in Ludwigsburg the debug time there is sometimes a bit longer than in Stuttgart. Members who live locally could have intervened faster and also resume work faster today.

  • We were able to solve all the problems this afternoon. The last device went back into operation around 18:30

  • According to current information, there are still problems in: M6, M8, P6, E10, M18, M22, M11, M7 In most cases only parts of the building are affected, so you should still receive WLAN in some parts of the building.
