W-LAN problems with new connections Thursday 24th June 2021 11:59:35

New clients connecting to the Selfnet W-LAN are currently having problems connecting to the Internet. We are looking for a solution and recommend the use of the Selfnet LAN for the time being. Devices that are still connected to the network seem to continue to work.

No other errors have appeared. We are therefore closing the incident.

The problem seems to be solved. We will continue to observe for some time.

After initial tests, the DHCP server for assigning IP addresses and the radius server for logins seem to be functional.

We suspect that the central gateway server for our W-LAN does not create routes for new clients. This means that it is not possible for the dialled-in clients to connect from the W-LAN network created for the device in the direction of the Internet. The gateway servers are the central nodes in our network to provide a separate secured network for each client in the W-LAN.
