WLAN (wireless 802.1X network) W-LAN problems with new connections

New clients connecting to the Selfnet W-LAN are currently having problems connecting to the Internet. We are looking for a solution and recommend the use of the Selfnet LAN for the time being. Devices that are still connected to the network seem to continue to work.

  • No other errors have appeared. We are therefore closing the incident.

  • The problem seems to be solved. We will continue to observe for some time.

  • After initial tests, the DHCP server for assigning IP addresses and the radius server for logins seem to be functional.

We suspect that the central gateway server for our W-LAN does not create routes for new clients. This means that it is not possible for the dialled-in clients to connect from the W-LAN network created for the device in the direction of the Internet. The gateway servers are the central nodes in our network to provide a separate secured network for each client in the W-LAN.
