We have an equipment failure in the In der Au 16C residence hall that affects a very small resident population of 13 members. We will look at the problem on the evening of May 15 and probably replace the affected device with one of our new generation.
The exchange of all devices worked as planned yesterday evening. As a result, the outage was resolved and we expect that the new devices will run much more stable in the future than the previously used devices.
The outage was caused by the power outage that occurred throughout the building on Sunday evening, May 14. Unfortunately, only 5 of our 6 installed devices survived the power failure.
We decided to change all switches in the dormitory In der Au to the new generation this evening to avoid problems in the future. The new devices can then deliver up to 2.5 Gigabit to the rooms.
